When are tryout dates? 

Every year our tryouts will be around the end of July or possibly early August for older teams. Please stay tuned to our facebook and twitter pages.

We are out of town for tryouts, can I still make a team? 

Please register on the website, select private tryout requested AND reach out to the coach listed above to determine next steps. Private tryouts are not guaranteed and based on field and coach availability.

What does Gold, Black and Red mean? 

Generally Gold teams compete at the KVBSA Open Division or USSSA AAA/Major or high level AA. Black competes at the KVBSA Advanced Division or USSSA AA Level and Red teams compete in the KVBSA Community Division or USSSA A/AA Level.

Do I need to attend all days of tryout? 

Please reach out to coordinate with your coach at your age level, but if you are available we recommend planning to come to all tryout dates listed for your age group unless told otherwise. 

Will we have a team for XX age group? 

The teams we anticipate for the following year are listed above. If an age group is missing it is because there was no current team at that age group for the year prior and/or we do not have enough players and a coach. We will create a team if we have enough players and a qualified coach.

What does off season training look like? 

We have our own 8000 sq ft practice facility and can book additional space if needed per team. We have use of several fields for practices and games. Most teams practice and play some games in the fall, then take a break around the holidays and start up indoors in January. We understand many players are playing multiple sports.

My son plays multiple sports, is that an issue? 

We encourage multiple sport athletes and all teams have many multi-sport athletes. However, during baseball season we expect that baseball is your top sport priority.

Does my son need to be a Novi resident or attend Novi schools? 

No. While we do have an larger number of Novi players and have a certain number of resident spots required for each team, our teams are open to players from the entire area. We have players that attend HS in many local area school districts. 

Do I need to register for tryouts? 

Yes it is required so that the coaches have a way of contacting you about the results of the tryout, it covers us from a liability standpoint in case of an injury during tryout, and also helps us plan.

Can my son play up a year or two?

Our teams are usually very competitive and we have found that most players are best suited to play at their age level (listed above birthday ranges). However, for very advanced players we have seen players play up a year.

Where are the fields? Where is the practice facility? 

Unless otherwise specified, tryouts are at Novi ITC Park (map).  Our practice facility used primarily during winter is in Wixom just north of I-96 on West Road (The Strike Zone).
